The new space, separate from the water area, will be able to operate year-round. The project has completely modernized the facilities and involved several companies from the Bajo/Baix Cinca region.
The town of Zaidín inaugurated its new bar-restaurant at the municipal swimming pools this Thursday, a completely renovated space that represents a significant leap forward in both appearance and functionality. The project, which involved an investment of €350.000 , of which €131.000 was financed by the Huesca Provincial Council's (DPH) POS program , will also allow the establishment to remain open year-round, as it operates independently from the swimming area.
The result of the renovation has been very well received by those attending the inauguration, who all highlighted the spaciousness of the new dining room, the brightness of the space, the renewed design and the important improvements incorporated in terms of accessibility and comfort.
A comprehensive reform to modernize the service
The renovation has completely transformed the old pool bar, adapting it to the current needs of both customers and staff.
Among the main improvements is the enclosure of the rear terrace with glass , which has significantly increased the size of the interior dining area. In addition, the restaurant features folding windows that allow the glass facade to be fully opened, seamlessly integrating the interior space with the terrace when weather conditions permit.
The renovation also included the installation of awnings on the front terrace , a fully equipped professional kitchen , the complete renovation of the electrical, air conditioning, ventilation and gas installations, as well as improved insulation, new windows, lighting, furniture and acoustic conditioning.
In terms of accessibility, the building now has an elevator , an adapted bathroom , another toilet for customers and a specific changing room for workers, improvements that facilitate the use of the facilities and eliminate some of the limitations that existed until now, such as the need to use the changing rooms of the swimming pools to access the toilets.
A space designed to function year-round
One of the highlights of the project is that the establishment has been designed to operate independently of the municipal swimming pools, which will allow the restaurant service to remain open throughout the year.
The expansion of the dining room, the new enclosure, and the improvements in climate control make the restaurant a more versatile space, prepared to accommodate both daily service and meals, meetings, and celebrations at any time of year.
During the inauguration, numerous residents praised the results of the project, especially highlighting the feeling of spaciousness achieved, the modern aesthetics of the establishment, the addition of the elevator, and the convenience of having their own restrooms within the restaurant.
Companies from the Bajo/Baix Cinca region are participating in the project
The renovation has also involved the participation of several companies from the Bajo/Baix Cinca region.
Espacio Diseño played a key role , responsible for drafting the project and processing the business license, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations regarding hospitality, accessibility, and the Technical Building Code. The company also developed the design of the new space , including the layout, interior design, lighting, decoration, and functional improvements.
For its part, Salleras has carried out the installation of the elevator, one of the elements most valued by users for the improvement it represents in accessibility.
The company Cincaplac has been in charge of the finishing work on the ceilings, with the creation of plasterboard corner boxes and the installation of a suspended ceiling made of wood chips, contributing to the new image of the restaurant.
With this project, Zaidín adds a completely renovated establishment that improves municipal services, expands the municipality's hospitality offerings, and provides the swimming pool complex with a modern, accessible space ready to offer service throughout the year.
