The mayor of the municipality has issued a decree asking property owners to clean and clear their plots to reduce the risk of fires.
The Zaidín Town Council has appealed to residents for their cooperation in strengthening fire prevention during the peak fire season. In a public notice signed by Mayor María José Vicente Poy, the council reminds residents of their legal obligation to maintain their properties, vacant lots, and private plots in good condition.
The measure comes in a context marked by the increase in fires recorded in the province of Huesca and in different parts of Aragon, a situation that, according to the City Council, is aggravated by the current weather conditions.

The municipal notice reminds owners that they have the obligation to keep their land in adequate conditions of safety and health, as established by current legislation.
Specifically, the City Council refers to the Consolidated Text of the Land and Urban Rehabilitation Law (Royal Legislative Decree 7/2015), which requires maintaining land in safe, healthy, accessible and aesthetically pleasing conditions, as well as to the Consolidated Text of the Urban Planning Law of Aragon (Legislative Decree 1/2014), which regulates the duty to conserve buildings and plots of land.
Cleaning and removal of dry vegetation
The Mayor's Office invites all residents to carry out cleaning and clearing work on their properties, removing dry vegetation and any other material that may be flammable.
The aim is to minimize the risk of fire spreading, especially during a few weeks when high temperatures, low humidity and the state of the vegetation increase the danger of fires.
A call for civic responsibility
The Zaidín Town Council thanks residents in advance for their cooperation and reminds them that maintaining vacant lots and plots in suitable condition is one of the most effective preventative measures to protect both homes and the natural environment of the municipality from the risk of fires.
