The tournament will begin on Saturday, July 20th at the Municipal Sports Pavilion, and the finals will be played on Sunday.
Everything is ready for the start of a new edition of the Futsal Marathon, organized by Mequinenza Futsal, which in 2024 reaches its thirty-sixth edition. The Municipal Sports Pavilion will host the competition where one hundred matches will be played, including group stage matches, knockout rounds, semifinals and finals.
A total of 30 teams, from the towns of Zaragoza, Lleida, Sabadell, Fraga and Mequinenza, and nearly 300 players will compete in the competition divided into four categories: 14 in senior distributed in two groups, 6 in female, 4 in veterans and 6 in base category which corresponds to the XI Maikel Fornos Memorial.
The opening whistle will blow on Saturday, July 20th at 9:00 AM with the youth teams, while the remaining categories will begin competing at 2:30 PM. The finals for each category will be played starting at 11:20 AM on Sunday, July 21st, and the awards ceremony will take place around 1:00 PM.
The duration of matches in the group stage will be 14 minutes, the knockout rounds and quarter-finals in the senior category will last 18 minutes, the same as the semi-finals of all categories and the finals of the women's category and the Memorial and 20 minutes (15+5) in the senior final.
