The SoNna Festival of the Huesca Provincial Council brings the Sounds of Nature to the wineries of Huesca
The Huesca Provincial Council continues its commitment to a festival that showcases and celebrates the entire province. The fifth edition of SoNna Huesca features a total of 27 performances in venues across the ten districts of the Alto Aragón region , taking place between June 29 and September 14.
On Saturday, August 31, the Sounds in Nature Festival will move closer to the wine-growing region to take place at the Valonga Estate in Belver de Cinca , in homage to that humanized landscape of the Alto Aragón vineyard, that evocative agriculture that extends south of the Sierra de Guara and in other scattered points of the Huesca geography.
At 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM, with a limited capacity of 300 people, we can enjoy the Matthieu Saglio Quartet (France) . Thanks to his instantly recognizable sound and great versatility, Matthieu Saglio, a French cellist based in Valencia, is one of the most exciting cellists of his generation. Classically trained, he pioneered the introduction of the cello into flamenco with the Jerez-Texas group, with whom he toured the world for 20 years, while also participating in a wide variety of projects.
Finca Valonga is an agricultural and biodiversity legacy cultivated over decades, its landscape a mosaic of vineyards, walnut groves, olive trees, almond orchards, and cereal crops, interspersed with bodies of water scattered across its extensive holdings on the right bank of the Cinca River. Managed since 1931 by three generations of the same family, the estate already boasted vineyards and its own winery dating back to the early 19th century. In the 1980s, the vineyards were replanted and all the facilities were renovated. The winery is strategically located in the heart of the vineyard, which covers an area of 60 hectares.
