The Fraga City Council's cultural program has already begun to liven up the summer with activities for all audiences.
Summer is synonymous with fun, and the "Estiu al Carrer" (Summer in the Streets) program for 2024 promises a wide range of activities that will delight both young and old. The program kicked off last week with the opening of the Bibliopiscina (Library Pool) and the traditional Sant Joan Festival and will run until August 22nd. During these months, you can enjoy cultural, musical, and entertainment events at various locations throughout the city.
July Activities
On Saturday, July 6th, starting at 20 pm in the Castle Park, we will have a potluck dinner and music with Lorena Margallo, with the collaboration of the residents of Castell.
On Thursday the 11th, the Belentuela Caravan arrives at the Juan Carlos I Gardens at 20 pm with a reading promotion activity aimed at the family audience.
Estiu al Carrer has scheduled a couple of activities to liven up the Miralsot festivities. On Thursday, July 18th at 8 pm, we'll enjoy a show for all ages, and on Sunday the 21st at 7:30 pm, we'll have traditional music with the Rondalla de la Peña Fragatina.
On Friday, July 26th, starting at 9:30 pm, the Ball de Coques will be revived in the historic center as part of the Santa Ana Festival. Traditional music will conclude at the Miguel Servet School. Suitable for all ages.
And in August
On Saturday the 3rd at 22pm in the Juan Carlos I Gardens we have a street party organized by the Association of Residents of Avenida de Aragón (ASVA) with lots of music, sweets, raffles…
The famous Perseid meteor shower, also known as the Tears of Saint Lawrence, is a natural spectacle of shooting stars that illuminate the night sky and occurs around August 10th. That Saturday at 20 p.m., the activity "Stars in Cardiel" is scheduled, an astronomical observation workshop aimed at families in collaboration with the Huesca Astronomical Association.
The summer cultural program concludes on Thursday, August 22 at 20 p.m. with Street Theatre for all audiences in the Juan Carlos I Gardens.
