Around noon today, Monday, July 22nd, a tractor with a sprayer caught fire while crossing the small bridge in Fraga. The incident appears to have been caused by an oil leak from the vehicle, but this has not yet been confirmed.
Local police officers and firefighters from the Fraga fire station arrived at the scene within minutes. The fire was extinguished, and traffic was controlled to prevent further damage. Besides the vehicle itself and the tank it was carrying, the bridge railing sustained some damage, but no one was injured.
Cleaning crews also arrived quickly, clearing the area of any debris that could obstruct traffic and cleaning up the bridge. Once the crane was able to remove the tractor and the sprayer it was carrying, traffic was restored. Around 13 p.m., normal traffic flow was allowed again.
