The 6th Torrent Jazz Festival will kick off on July 11th with its presentation at Casa Ferrabrás at 9:30 pm. After learning all the details of the event, at 10 pm a slot has been reserved to screen Clint Eastwood's film BIRD , a cinematic gem that has become a true icon of jazz.
The music will begin on Friday the 12th in the Church Square
Following Thursday's pre-show, the finest jazz rhythms will begin to fill the air next Friday, July 12th, in the Plaza de la Iglesia in Torrente de Cinca. Attendees will be treated to "Scaramanga. Héctor Martín & Pere Miró ," the group comprised of these two musicians who, accompanied by Abel Boquera and Arnau Julià, will transport the audience to the world of the most famous spy in history: 007. The film's musical themes have served as inspiration for an album brimming with details that will captivate even the most discerning ears.
Second meeting at the Hermitage of San Salvador
The July 13th session of the 6th Torrent Jazz Festival will take place at the Hermitage of San Salvador, where Bratia will bring the elegance of gypsy jazz and the rich musical traditions of the Balkans . This sonic offering, a true allegory of brotherhood, is a must-see.
The festival closes in the Town Hall Square of Torrente de Cinca
The final event of the VI Torrent Jazz Festival will be a performance by Hot Seven Apples , scheduled for July 14 at 21 pm in the Town Hall Square.
For 2024, the closing performance has been entrusted to this new musical group from Lleida that intends to "review the great composers and groups of jazz" from a somewhat more original perspective than we are used to.
