Initial discussions have already taken place with the Provincial Heritage Directorate to determine the proper procedures before starting any work.
In the interview we conducted from www.diariobajocinca.com with the mayor, Rubén Morell , the top official of the Bajo Cinca municipality revealed that Torrente de Cinca also has an ice well, probably several centuries old.
The town council has already contacted the Heritage Department to learn the initial steps for its restoration. Morell indicated that they will seek external funding for this project and expressed his administration's commitment to completing the necessary work during this term to allow the site to be opened to the public. The residents of Torrente de Cinca hope that the building will be restored and become part of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region's tourist attractions in the coming years.
