A cross-cutting and popular event marking a unique musical transition 35 years after its inception . It will be held on May 11th.
The town of Torrente de Cinca is filled with nostalgia and excitement as it prepares to witness an unprecedented musical event that will mark a milestone in local history. " Escala 2024: Les Comèdies " is the name of the show that represents the exciting and significant transition from "Escala en Hi-Fi" to "Escala en HD."
With the same passion as 35 years ago and the desire to relive those cherished memories, a group of young people, now older, from Torrente want to pay tribute to an event that marked the history of their town. "Escala en Hi-Fi" (Hi-Fi Scale) began in May 1988 as a project by these young people to bring the entire town together through music and art, becoming a tradition that for a decade filled the lives of their neighbors in Torrente and the surrounding Bajo Cinca region with joy and surprises.
The community center, where the event was held, hosted international artists and icons of Spanish music, up-and-coming bands, and Broadway musicals performed by local residents. Each year, the anticipation and participation of everyone meant the center was packed, demonstrating the unity and enthusiasm of all the residents, from the oldest to the youngest.
On the day of the performance, which usually fell around the time of San Isidro, the town would erupt in a frenzy of anticipation and excitement to see the final result of so many months of work. The show caused a sensation throughout the region and became a benchmark for other towns.
Twenty-five years after their last performance, those same young people, now adults, wish to close this nostalgic chapter with an event that will fuse the essence of the past with the innovation of the future. "Les Comèdies" symbolizes evolution and transformation, promising to surprise audiences with never-before-seen performances.
This cross-cutting and collaborative event, included in the program of the Torrente de Cinca Cultural Spring in collaboration with the Festival Committee and the Torrente de Cinca City Council, is made possible thanks to the support and active participation of all the residents who are dedicating a lot of time to rehearsals and preparations for the occasion.
