Mar Vaquero, acting vice president, has announced that more than 15.000 people have registered to visit The Wave.
Just hours before The Wave 2026 , the most important technology congress in the region, begins, the Vice President and acting Minister of the Presidency, Economy and Justice of the Government of Aragon, Mar Vaquero, toured the facilities of the Congress Palace, the venue hosting this event for the third time and where the final details of the setup are being completed.
There, he emphasized that “we are ready to showcase Aragon’s technological wave once again this year,” clearly alluding to the more than 250 speakers who will address the latest developments and demonstrate the technological potential of a region that has positioned itself as a leading technology hub in Europe. He also mentioned the companies that have collaborated on this new edition, which is expected to break all previous records.
“We are going to show everything that a territory that has reached a privileged position is capable of doing, but that is not content, but aspires to continue increasing its international significance thanks to the talent of the men and women of this land,” stressed the acting vice president of the Government of Aragon.
During her media appearance, Mar Vaquero announced that more than 15.000 people have registered to participate in The Wave 2026 , figures that substantially increase the 10.500 of the 2025 edition and the 3.215 of the first one, held in 2024.
In this regard, he encouraged the entire Aragonese society to participate because “here we will be discussing and addressing the present and future of technology in the world,” in which Aragon “will have a significant role to play.” He also expressed his pride in the “leading” role of our region, which during the three days of The Wave “will be the global epicenter of the sector.”
The Wave 2026
The Wave 2026 will once again place Aragon at the epicenter of innovation with the participation of more than 250 speakers distributed across different spaces designed to offer a comprehensive experience. The congress will be structured around five main areas: Planet Zero, where major strategic challenges will be addressed; Lunar Lab, as a laboratory for ideas and practical learning; Nebula Lounge, focused on high-level networking; Expo Horizon, an exhibition space showcasing applicable technological solutions; and an outdoor stage that, with greater prominence than ever, will offer unique experiences once the activities at the Conference Center have concluded.
The event will take place over three distinct days. April 14th and 15th will focus on the business sector, with the participation of leading companies such as Amazon Web Services, Hiberus, Integra, Ibercaja, Microsoft, and Telefónica, among others, which are driving digital transformation both nationally and internationally. These days will combine inspiring talks, practical workshops, and networking opportunities, highlighting one of the great challenges of our time: talent creation and development.
On April 16th, The Wave will open its doors to the public for a day designed to introduce entrepreneurship and technology to new audiences. Through workshops, success stories, and experiences designed to inspire the next generation of innovators, the event will reinforce its educational mission. The day will culminate with the participation of leading figures in the digital field, such as Jordi Wild and Pedro Baños, two of the most influential content creators nationally and internationally.
New Arrivals
This third edition introduces significant new features that reinforce its ambition. First, it consolidates a structure with two days geared towards professionals and a third open to the general public, reflecting the cross-cutting impact of technology on all aspects of our lives. Furthermore, the congress will feature new speakers joining this event for the first time, representing genuine technological talent and particularly relevant to younger generations.
This edition also incorporates a robust program of parallel events that further enrich The Wave's offering. Highlights include a new hackathon, joining those already held in Huesca and Teruel, thus consolidating a network to promote young talent throughout the country; The Wave Data Centers meeting, focused on analyzing the present and future of the data center industry; and a National Debate Tournament with a technology theme that will bring together schools from all over Spain, fostering critical thinking and an interest in innovation among younger generations.
Another major highlight will be After Wave, a musical and experiential event that will extend the activities beyond the lectures. Robot Rock Alive will take place on April 14th; Face Down Ass Up on April 15th; and Mafalda Cardenal, Michenlo, Copacabana, and Neviic will perform on April 16th, creating a program that will make each day a complete experience.
Finally, The Wave 2026 will feature an official app that will allow attendees to experience the event in a more immersive and interactive way. This tool will become the hub of the digital experience, facilitating navigation between spaces and sessions, access to real-time content, and networking among participants.
