The Bajo/Baix Cinca team won two gold medals in the children's four and double sculls and a silver medal in the cadet double sculls
A total of 34 clubs from across Spain and 263 boats took part in the Spring Cup held in Castrelo de Miño, competing in the following categories: children, juniors, cadets, veterans, and Paralympic. The event was organized by the Spanish Rowing Federation, the Galician Rowing Federation, and the local Nautical Club.
The Capri Club of Mequinenza entered the competition with 16 rowers and 8 boats, competing in the Cup in the under-12, under-14, and under-16 categories. The Mequinenza team achieved a commendable third place in the medal standings of the competition, which was dominated by Galician clubs, finishing behind the Ribadeo Rowing Club of Lugo and the Ría de Marín Rowing Club of Pontevedra.
The quadruple scull of Marina Catalán, Miriam Bruna, Irene Bruna, and Iria Expósito, and the double scull of Ismael Rahibi and Diego Aguilar, both in the junior category, reached the top of the podium, while the double scull of Yeray Martínez and Paulo Guimerá earned a commendable silver. These results, along with the sixth-place finish of the junior double scull of Aroa Castello and Alba Cuchí, highlight the excellent work being done with the club's young rowers and their potential.
The Mequinenza participation was completed by Alba Martínez's skiff in the junior category, fourth in the B final, María Arroyo's junior skiff, first in the B final, and the cadet double scull of Iratxe Ibarz and Sofía Serveto and of Aaron Esteve and Álex Vilella, second in both cases in the B final.
