The City Council is reviving this designation and wants to promote it to add value to this crop.
The Fraga council continues with the recovery and promotion of the city's traditional values , thanks to the work of some council departments such as Festivals and Culture.
Two years ago, the town council launched the Fiesta del Coc de Fraga , which was a great success and widely received. Celebrations such as San Isidro and Santa Ana have been revived , and the council aims to provide these festivities with improvements each year. Furthermore, thanks to the work of some members of the Rondalla de Peña Fragatina, efforts have been made to revive the ' Ball de Coques ' as a traditional dance of Fraga.
Along the same lines, the city council, through its agriculture department, has revived the name 'Fraga Figs' to add value to the area's farms, strengthening their market position and highlighting the unique quality of the local product.
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, August 21st at 'Lo Castell' at 11:30 am and the ' Fraga Fig Week ' will be completed with activities on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of the same month.
