The AEGA association estimates that 5000 people will participate on the Spanish side.
Cross-border road blockades have been called for June 3rd at various points across the country. In total, eight points connecting Spain and France will be affected, two of them in the province of Huesca: Sommport and Portalet. According to the AEGA association, approximately 20 agricultural and livestock organizations will participate in this action, which will begin early in the morning and last 24 hours.
The AEGA association estimates that some 5.000 people will support these mobilizations in person at the road blockades, and many others, as well as agricultural and livestock entities, will carry out symbolic actions such as the closure of facilities and cooperatives on that day.
The Aragonese association has organized food and supplies for all participants in the cross-border blockades. Thanks to the generous collaboration of meat and agricultural companies, AEGA will distribute food and drinks throughout the day to attendees. AEGA, along with the other organizing entities, continues to urge the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries to engage in productive dialogue to address the demands of Spanish agriculture, defend Spanish agriculture, and ensure our voice is heard in Europe to protect all the families who work and depend on agriculture and livestock farming.
