Alouda's collaborators in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region report on the welcome for this summer 2024
The Alouda Association is launching its Holidays in Peace Program, thanks to the collaboration of the Government of Aragon. Once again, they are counting on the generosity of families in the province of Huesca to bring children from the Sahrawi refugee camps to host families.
It's two months, from the end of June to the end of August, the hottest months in the desert, where they endure temperatures of over 50ºC, in addition to medical visits and nutritional support during their stay.
Thanks to the grant from the Government of Aragon, this program can be carried out; families do not pay for the trip, only for the child's food and equipment.
Alouda encourages people to welcome a child from the Tindouf refugee camps in Algeria; it's a great experience, not only for the child but for the entire host family.
