Four designs competed in the poster contest for the 2024 "La Santa" Festival
After a close vote between two of the four entries, “Memories that Time Doesn't Erase” has been chosen as the poster for the 2024 “La Santa” Festival in Mequinenza, which will take place from September 16th to 22nd. The winning design is the work of Sara El Gorgi, an 18-year-old from Mequinenza who will begin her industrial engineering studies in Lleida next year.
The chosen poster, which comes with a prize of 200 euros in cash, represents a page from a comic book in which the town's residents appear as protagonists, actively enjoying "La Santa" in different moments and settings.
The jury, which was made up of Arantxa Guardiola, member of the Festival Committee, Maite Roca, representing the Grup d'Art, Noemí Aguilar, representative of the peñas and Luis Esteve, councilor for youth, festivals and events, has taken into account the popular vote whose weighted value represents 20% of the final vote.
