The Civil Guard arrests two people in Fraga for attempted robbery of an inhabited dwelling
Agents from the Civil Guard station in Fraga have arrested two people as alleged perpetrators of an attempted robbery in an inhabited dwelling and another of unauthorized occupation of an inhabited dwelling in the urban center of the town of Fraga.
On January 28, the Civil Guard was informed by the owners of a house that two people were trying to illegally access the property.
Civil Guard and Fraga Local Police patrols immediately arrived at the scene and proceeded to arrest one of the assailants who was being held by the homeowner on one of the terraces.
Initial investigations at the scene confirmed that two people had indeed participated in the robbery. One of the perpetrators fled, a fact corroborated by evidence.
With all the evidence on the scene, the contributions of the witnesses and a series of other elements, the agents of the Fraga Station began an investigation for the complete clarification of the facts.
Thus, the investigation revealed that the criminals had occupied without authorization one of the properties adjacent to the house that was the target of the robbery, forcing access from the roof and the terraces located at the top of the house.
The first suspect, who had a prior record for similar offenses, was taken to police custody. Both the Civil Guard and the Local Police then focused their efforts on locating the fleeing assailant, but were unable to find him during the initial hours of the search. Finally, thanks to public cooperation and the collection of existing evidence, he was identified and arrested on January 30th.
The detainees, two men aged 29 and 38, were brought before the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 1 of Fraga (Huesca) for the crime of attempted robbery with force inside an inhabited dwelling and another of occupation of property without authorization, ordering the preventive imprisonment in the Zuera penitentiary of one of them, and the second one released with precautionary measures.
