The works enter a new phase with the undergrounding of the electrical wiring starting next week and the subsequent urbanization of the area
Traffic on San Quintín Street has been fully restored in both directions following the completion of demolition work on the building at 23 Parroquia Street this past Thursday . The completion of this phase allows for the resumption of normal traffic flow on the street and progress on the urban development plan for the surrounding area.
Starting next week, work will begin on relocating permanent installations , mainly focused on burying electrical wiring to modernize the area's infrastructure.
The Councillor for Urban Planning, Esther Rubio, has stated that "this action allows us to continue taking steps in the improvement and organization of our streets, restoring normal traffic flow and reinforcing road safety in one of the main access points to the Historic Quarter ."
Once the undergrounding of the facilities, which will begin next week, is completed, it will await the connection to the electrical grid by the supplying company Endesa , a technical procedure that may take several weeks.
Later, when the electric company completes the connections, the work to adapt the site and the stairs of Parroquia street will continue , thus completing the transformation of the space.
