From their Instagram profile , the Fraga Local Police force has reported on the modus operandi being used in different supermarkets in the capital of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region in relation to the theft of personal belongings.

While the person is placing their groceries in the vehicle, another person calls out to them, alerting them that they've dropped some keys or coins. The moment they turn around to check, a third person enters from the other side of the vehicle and steals their purse, phone, or any other valuables they can find.
The moment someone unloads their shopping into the vehicle and has to take the cart to the parking area, thieves take advantage of the moment when the vehicle is fully unlocked to grab their purse, mobile phone, etc.
Another technique is to ask the person unloading the shopping where a certain street or business is located, so that when they turn around indicating where to go, a third person takes the opportunity to grab the belongings from inside the vehicle.
