Regional action plan to achieve the sports quality seal

The regional entity aims to obtain this seal in order to recognize the work carried out by the region in promoting and fostering sport among the people of Bajo Cinca.

The Bajo/Baix Cinca region, in collaboration with the Government of Aragon and the Official College of Physical and Sports Educators of Aragon, has begun the process of obtaining the quality seal through a first meeting in which the different “challenges” that currently exist in the sports organization at the regional level were shared.

This plan aims to encourage sports participation in Aragonese municipalities. Cristina García, Director General of Sport, explained that the plan seeks to recognize and strengthen the work of the districts in the sports field, providing support and resources to improve and expand existing programs.

The action plan focuses on four key objectives: reducing the dropout rate from sports among young people, encouraging sports tourism in the regions, improving the digitization of sports services, and promoting the joint provision of services for all municipalities.

In the first phase, the College will provide each regional entity with a qualified specialist in the certification program, with significant experience in other regions. The aim is to support regional technicians, taking into account the context, population, and facilities of each region to achieve the best results.

The sports councilor for the Bajo/Baix Cinca region, Adolfo Sasot, stated that “we consider it very positive that we can begin the process of obtaining this certification as recognition of the excellent work we currently offer in our region.” Sasot added that “this procedure will also allow us to identify in detail the areas where we need to improve, with the primary objective of providing users of the regional sports service with the highest level of quality in the sports services we offer.”
