This afternoon at Espacio Ambar in Zaragoza, the final names completing the lineup for the upcoming Pirineos Sur festival were announced. The festival will take place from July 4th to 28th in the Huesca town of Lanuza. Mr. Pendejo, Sweet Drinkz, Álex Curreya, Luna Roja, Bosque Sonoro DJs, Optigan, and Diego Aguas will be the DJs who will keep the party going after the concerts, until the end of each day.
With these DJs, some of the most sought-after at national festivals and clubs, the lineup is complete for an edition that prioritizes variety and accessibility for all audiences, featuring big names like Ricky Martin, Melendi, Mon Laferte, Lila Downs, Loreena McKennitt, Vetusta Morla, El Drogas, and a tribute to Camarón's "La leyenda del tiempo." This was announced at the Espacio Ambar venue in Zaragoza by festival director Sergio Vinade, along with Carlos Sampériz, Deputy for Culture of the Huesca Provincial Council, and Andrea Anguita, Head of Communication and Sponsorships for the AGORA Group.
If there's one DJ who's instantly recognizable at Pirineos Sur, it's Mr. Pendejo, a resident DJ at the festival for many years. He's a true expert in Black music and all its variations, consistently creating explosive sonic combinations in sets where analog and electronic sounds dance together on the same dance floor. Jazz, jungle, soul, cumbia, dubstep, disco, Afrobeat… his musical selection knows no bounds. He's played at major national festivals and clubs (FIB, Festimad, Florida 135, Sirocco) and has twice been named best national DJ by Rockdelux magazine.
Sweet Drinkz has spent over 20 years honing his craft and developing his unique approach to music and the art of mixing. This DJ and producer from Aragon doesn't discriminate based on genre when it comes to getting his audience dancing, earning him the affection of those who attend his sets: from classic genres like house, techno, electro, hip-hop, and disco, to the latest avant-garde and futuristic trends in urban and electronic music. He's also one of the masterminds behind FaceDown Ass Up, Dollar, and Pangoleo, clubs dedicated to the latest trends in bass music.
Alex Curreya is a rhythm enthusiast . His stylistic range encompasses a wide array of sounds, most notably indie and electronic music. His beginnings, rooted in more electronic genres, provided him with a refined technique and a distinctive style that sets him apart in the national DJ scene, as evidenced by his performances at clubs and venues such as Zebra (Teatro Eslava, Madrid), Sala REM (Murcia), PlayClub (Valencia), Carta Blanca (León), and La Radio (Oviedo). He is the resident DJ at Tony Wilson in Zaragoza.
Diego Aguas is a DJ of extremes. From the Aragonese Pyrenees to the coast of Cádiz. From clubs across the peninsula to massive festivals. He's been a resident DJ at Après Ski MARCHICA in the Formigal resort since 2009 , and in the summer he's usually throwing parties at Mombassa, Mambo, or El Tumbao in Tarifa.

Optigan 1 is the alias of DJ and music journalist Joseba Vegas. As a DJ, he has performed at festivals such as FIB, BIME, and BBK on several occasions. His sets blend the latest releases from the alternative scene with classic indie, pop, and rock music in all its forms, including nods to the mainstream and exploring genres like punk, synthpop, electronica, and hip hop.
Tickets for the concerts are now available on the festival website https://pirineos-sur.es/ , which also grants access to the DJ sets each night, lasting until 4:30 a.m., except on Sundays when they will end at 2:00 a.m. Tickets exclusively for this program can also be purchased at the box office for €10, including a drink.
