The Huesca festival is heading towards one of its most crowded editions just a few weeks before the start of this year's event.
Pirineos Sur 2026 has another sold-out show. The lineup for Thursday, July 16th, featuring La MODA and Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, has just sold out at the floating stage in Lanuza, confirming the strong reception of the program for the 33rd edition of the International Festival of Cultures.
This new sell-out adds to the one already announced for the night of Saturday, July 18, with Hens and Dani Fernández, and anticipates a particularly vibrant edition, with many days expected to be fully booked and an audience that once again responds strongly to a diverse, generational program open to very different sounds.
And indeed, the night featuring La MODA and Sanguijuelas del Guadiana promises to be one of the most energetic days of this year's festival. The Burgos-based band will arrive at Pirineos Sur with their blend of folk, rock, punk, and epic folk, sharing the stage with Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, one of the most unique acts on the new scene, with their distinctive take on roots, distortion, and contemporary rural imagery.
Pirineos Sur also has another date that's very close to selling out: Thursday, July 23, featuring Carlos Ares, Valeria Castro, and Ester Vallejo . The last remaining tickets can be purchased on the festival's official website, www.pirineos-sur.es.
The party continues after the concerts
The 33rd edition of Pirineos Sur will take place from July 9th to 26th on the floating stage and the Lanuza Natural Amphitheater, in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Over three weekends, the festival will bring together 29 concerts and eleven DJs from diverse geographical locations, generations, and styles, solidifying an open, pluralistic program connected to the sounds of the world. The lineup includes names such as Rufus Wainwright, José González, Bomba Estéreo, Suede, Los Planetas, Christina Rosenvinge, Judeline, Jorge Drexler, Chambao, Lia Kali, Valeria Castro, Melanie Santiler, Carlos Ares, Rubén Blades, ETS, and La Fúmiga, among others.
And no Pirineos Sur festival is complete without its iconic after-parties. Every night, when the spotlights on the floating stage go out, the music continues with a selection of DJs that will extend the experience until the early hours, turning Lanuza into a meeting point for music and collective dancing.
Tickets for the 33rd edition are still available on the festival's official website, www.pirineos-sur.es , except for the dates of July 16th and 18th, which are already sold out. The concerts include access to the DJ sets each night, which will run until 4:30 a.m., except on Sundays, when they will end at 2:00 a.m. Tickets exclusively for these after-parties can also be purchased online or at the box office for €12, including a drink. Tickets for these after-parties may also become available at the box office if space becomes available after the concerts.

Thirty-two years ago, the Huesca Provincial Council launched the Pirineos Sur Festival, a meeting point for continents, cultures, and sounds. From its very first editions, it became the national benchmark for its musical genre, long before multiculturalism or globalization were even discussed in Spain. It also represents a commitment to promoting cultural tourism in the province of Huesca.
After three decades, it retains the philosophy that gave it birth. The Pyrenees South International Festival of Cultures has taken its music to almost every corner of the world. It features music and cultures from all five continents and presents monographic editions dedicated to creators from diverse countries, regions, and musical movements.
