The mayor of the municipality, Sara Campos, will invest in these projects after the plan's approval in the provincial plenary session.
The plenary session of the Huesca Provincial Council, held this Thursday, September 12, approved the 2024 Development Plan . It allocates 7,8 million euros to support 201 municipalities in the Alto Aragón region with investments in public roads, parks, sports infrastructure, water resources, protection of historical and artistic heritage, and road repairs.
Mayors from across the province of Huesca are already assessing the investments they will be able to make thanks to the Impulso 2024 Plan approved today in plenary session, which is intended to offer more resources to all municipalities, especially those in rural areas.
For her part, the mayor of Osso de Cinca, Sara Campos, will invest in security for the town's school as well as in improving a rural road, according to a statement issued by the provincial authority. The work on the rural road is highly requested by local farmers and ranchers and is an important element for the smooth operation of the town's economy.
All municipalities are receiving more investment than last year , and with the new objective criteria that have been defined, smaller towns are being allocated proportionally more investment, with the aim of fostering their growth and quality of life. Specifically, the investment for this Plan has increased by around €700.000 compared to 2023, according to data presented by the Provincial Council of Huesca (DPH).
It should also be remembered that the distribution of this investment among the 201 municipalities of the province, all except the capital, is based on entirely objective criteria and will follow the following parameters:
a) By municipality:
– Up to 100 inhabitants: €22.000
– From 101 to 1000 inhabitants: €21.500
– From 1001 to 5000 inhabitants: €21.000
– More than 5001 inhabitants: €20.500
b) By number of inhabitants
– Up to 100 inhabitants: €15 per inhabitant.
– From 101 to 1000 inhabitants: €9,50 per inhabitant.
– From 1001 to 5000 inhabitants: €6,50 per inhabitant.
– More than 5001 inhabitants: €4 per inhabitant.
c) By individual population entities (excluding the main one)
– For each individual entity in municipalities with up to 100 inhabitants: €900
– For each individual entity in municipalities with between 101 and 1000 inhabitants: €850
– For each individual entity in municipalities with between 1001 and 5000 inhabitants: €800
– For each individual entity in municipalities with more than 5001 inhabitants: €750
Thanks to these parameters, while the smallest municipality receives €1.148 per inhabitant, the largest receives €7 per inhabitant. For example, Binéfar, with 10.070 inhabitants and no population centers, receives €81.040, while Sabiñánigo, with fewer inhabitants (9.423) and 54 population centers, receives €131.589.
