This Thursday, August 29th at 20 pm at the Isidro Calderón stadium, Atlético Monzón and Ontiñena CF will face off for third place in the provincial tournament
This match will be played at Monzón's ground, thanks to an agreement between the two clubs due to their close friendship. Also, on Friday, August 30th at 8:00 PM at El Alcoraz stadium, Gurrea SD and SD Huesca 'B' will compete for the first edition of the Diputación Cup. All the checks and prizes for the winning clubs will be awarded at the conclusion of Friday's final match.
This will bring to a close a highly exciting championship in which 16 teams from the province have battled to reach the final and lift a trophy that looks set to become a permanent fixture. This is what the Diputación Cup has offered in its single-elimination format, always played at the home ground of the lower-ranked club. This inaugural edition has been marked by surprises from the initial draw, with pairings between teams from neighboring towns. And then, the football and the excitement unfolded, with victories decided by penalty shootouts.
Everything is in the works, and all that remains is to prepare for the final stretch of the Provincial Cup, with a fantastic atmosphere expected at both matches. Furthermore, to get everyone warmed up before the final, the Huesca Provincial Council has organized a pre-match event outside El Alcoraz stadium for all fans, featuring music from the Sonido 54 truck and various raffles. It's worth remembering that the first-place team will receive, in addition to the trophy, €4.000 in cash, €3.000 for second place, €2.000 for third, and €1.000 for fourth.
