The athlete from the Fraga Swimming Club will carry the name of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region to one of the most emblematic swimming pools in the country.
Hugo Higueras, a swimmer from the Fraga Swimming Club , will participate this week in the Spanish Open Swimming Championships, a competition taking place from March 11th to 15th at the Sabadell Swimming Club facilities. The national event will be held in the Catalan club's 50-meter indoor pool and will be held concurrently with the Spanish Junior Swimming Championships.
Higueras will attend this competition representing the Fraga club and will participate in the 50-meter freestyle event , scheduled for Thursday as part of the championship calendar. The swimmer will travel accompanied by his coach, Laia Conesa , who is responsible for his training at the Fraga Swimming Club.
The Spanish Open Championships, meanwhile, will bring together swimmers from various clubs across the country over five days in one of the main events on the national calendar. The competitions will be held in a long course format, in a 50-meter pool, at the facilities of the host club.
The Fraga Swimming Club reports that this will be Hugo Higueras' first participation in a national championship . The club itself considers the event "a very important step in his sporting career and a great opportunity to experience competing at the highest national level."
