Agricultural mobilizations planned for June 3rd

Press conference May 15

Today, May 15th, the day of Saint Isidore, patron saint of farmers, several agricultural groups have announced demonstrations from various points in Spain and France.

The AEGA association (Aragon is Livestock and Agriculture) held a press conference this morning in front of the Government Delegation in Zaragoza and issued a press release about the action they plan to carry out on June 3, between 14 agricultural groups from our country and French farmers.

AEGA NOTE :

Protests have been called for June 3rd, affecting border crossings between Spain and France . These actions have been announced through various press conferences held simultaneously across the country in several autonomous communities.

Today, representatives of AEGA held a press conference at the doors of the Government Delegation in Zaragoza to announce the joint action that will be carried out between several autonomous communities and French farmers on June 3rd.

Members of the association met with the Chief of Staff of the Government Delegation to discuss this action and to explain the harassment, through sanctions, that Aragonese farmers and ranchers are suffering after demonstrating in recent months in various districts of our autonomous community. The meeting was cordial and, we hope, productive.

At the end of the meeting, the AEGA representatives addressed the media gathered outside and read the demands being conveyed to both the Spanish Government and the European Union , as well as the statement agreed upon with the fourteen Spanish territories and French farmers who convened this mobilization:

Attack (Treviño and Álava), Aega Association (Aragon), Pages' Revolt (Catalonia), Bagea (Guipúzcoa), Sepricas (Castellon), Magin (Soria), Seed and Belarra, Platform 6f Navarra (Navarre), AGU Burgos, Aguridu (Burgos), Association of Free Farmers and Ranchers (Zamora), Aliv (Valencian Community) Decaleon (Lion) Sepriman y Agrygal (Castilla y León), Adecgu (Guadalajara), Adecu (Cuenca) and the French Independent Movement

The areas where these cross-border actions will take place are Irún, Somport and La Junquera.
