The works, which have involved an investment of approximately 47.000 euros, have consisted of resurfacing 2,8 km of the route and patching work in the tarred area, eliminating potholes and deformations.
The Mequinenza Town Council has completed the road surface improvement works on the Aubera de Mequinenza road, which runs parallel to the Ebro River and whose route coincides with part of the Ebro Natural Trail, the GR-99. This road also provides access to fishing areas, tourist facilities and agricultural holdings.
The work has consisted of paving a new 2,8-kilometer section using asphalt spraying, which adds to the section already paved and in which patching work has been carried out to eliminate potholes and deformations detected.
The project, awarded to the company Sanibars Alcarrás SL, had a completion period of two months and involved an investment of 46.771,34 euros, which will be financed by the Unified Subsidy Plan (PLUS) of the Provincial Council of Zaragoza (DPZ).
