Over 200.000 unique users in July and first video with 150.000 views

TT front page July

The statistics for Diario del Bajo Cinca continue to grow, and we have also reached a record 150.000 views with a single video on our TikTok channel.

Diario del Bajo Cinca, the first native digital media outlet in this region, continues to grow and is positioning itself as a reference communication channel in the Bajo/Baix Cinca and one of the most widely used at the provincial and regional levels, thanks to the local and hyperlocal information developed between the portal and the various social networks of our newspaper.

In July, we surpassed our figures once again.

This July, we've broken all previous reach records. Our media outlet has reached over 200.000 unique users in the last 30 days, demonstrating incredible growth in the news and information published on our profiles.

Our Instagram channel reached over 62.500 unique users in July. However, this time TikTok surpassed all figures, reaching over 126.000 unique users. This reinforces the positive trend in the video content and marketing we produce at Diario del Bajo Cinca.

The third most popular social network was Facebook, where we reached nearly 6.600 unique users. This was followed by the news portal with 5.300 users, figures that remain stable with a clear, slight upward trend. The other platforms (LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp, etc.) added several hundred more users to these numbers.

First video with 150.000 views on TikTok

The significant growth, especially on TikTok, this month is largely due to the content created for the Monegros Desert Festival . Our interview with Captain Rubén Calle Prado, head of the Civil Guard company in Fraga, explaining the event's security measures and prevention protocols for attendees, has exceeded all our metrics , reaching 150.000 views on this social media platform alone.

The remaining videos about the festival, both on TikTok and Instagram, featuring the event director and promoter Juan Arnau, among others, have garnered an additional 100.000 views . This content has been a significant part of this month's audience growth.

International growth and growth in major Spanish cities

With these figures, it's logical to assume that our newspaper's audience isn't limited to the Bajo/Baix Cinca region, home to approximately 25.000 people. Cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Valencia, Huesca, and Lleida are among the main locations where Diario del Bajo Cinca's national readers are found.

On the other hand, the website has experienced significant international growth , with 10,5% of its audience now located outside of Spain . Notably, over 5% of readers are in the US , 1.1% in the UK, and 1% in Sweden. Other countries with a significant readership include Ireland, Mexico, Ecuador, France, Italy, and Andorra.

In fact, the website www.diariobajocinca.com has experienced significant growth in North and South America, Europe, and Asia . And on our social media platforms, some of the countries with the strongest presence, besides Spain, are Romania, the United States, France, Andorra, Italy, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, the UK, Ireland, Germany, and China.

Interestingly , the segmentation of digital platforms sometimes allows us to see the specific city locations of our international followers. In the United States , for example, we have readers in cities as far apart as Washington, Los Angeles, New York, San Jose, and Boston.

On our social media channels, our national audience has experienced significant growth , especially in major cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, and Lleida, among others. Facebook is the platform with the most local audience data, representing nearly 90% of the audience in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region . The regional audience on Instagram is below 40%, figures that are logical given the platform's broad reach (over 62.500 users) and considering the region's population of approximately 25.000. A similar trend is observed on TikTok, where, with 126.000 unique users reached in July, the regional audience is around 5%, with cities like Madrid (20%), Barcelona (10%), and Zaragoza (6%) standing out.

These figures are incredible, especially for a media outlet based on local and hyperlocal information, but, as our director, Víctor Bonet , indicates : " we must keep our feet on the ground, be prudent and strengthen the project day by day, so that the Bajo/Baix Cinca has a communication channel that reinforces the presence of our territory at the regional, national and international levels, showing all the strengths and virtues of this region ."

From Diario del Bajo Cinca we would like to thank the companies, institutions and residents of our region and other territories who collaborate every day to ensure that this project continues to grow.
