The local derby between Ontiñena CF and UD Fraga will be a true preseason celebration between two clubs with a superb relationship.
With three teams in the quarterfinals of the Huesca Provincial Cup, the Bajo/Baix Cinca region will experience a day of true celebration in this new round of the tournament. The action kicks off on Wednesday the 17th at 19:30 pm at El Balsal with the derby between Ontiñena CF and UD Fraga, and half an hour later, at La Estacada, Fraga B will face SD Huesca's reserve team.
Luxury derby at El Balsal
After defeating Tamarite and Binéfar respectively, Ontiñena and UD Fraga meet this Wednesday in Ontiñena territory to experience a derby between two teams that have a great relationship.
The Fraga team does not hide its happiness at the passage of the round of the two teams they have in the competition, a fact that serves to confirm the "great work that is being done", as they confirm in statements to this media.
As expected, everyone at UD Fraga is approaching the DPH Cup quarter-final clash with "great enthusiasm" and respect for a rival with whom they maintain excellent relations, and whom they acknowledge has also "been doing things very well for quite some time."
Miguel Rubio's men come into the game after convincingly beating Binéfar and with two weeks of intense preparation under their belts, which are helping them to continue getting a feel for the game within a squad that has many new faces and is taking the Diputación Cup as an excellent test to reach the regular season in the best possible shape.

As expected, those in Ontiñena describe the derby against UD Fraga with the same adjective as their neighbors: both within the club and in the town, the match is awaited with great enthusiasm and "maximum ambition," according to the assessment made by Pablo Cregenzán, assistant coach of Ontiñena CF, for the Diario del Bajo Cinca.
The difficulty for them in this competition is at its maximum: they beat Tamarite and now they host what they consider to be the "most difficult rival in the region, since it is in the third division and comes with some big names from that category," says Cregenzán.
However, the Ontinyent team is aware that it has its strengths and intends to use them effectively. Regarding these strengths, the assistant coach points to, on the one hand, "the fortress we have at El Balsal," which they already highlighted in the pre-match match against Tamarite, and, on the other hand, the support of their fans, who rose to the occasion in the round of 16 despite it being a Thursday, and from whom they expect even more in the quarter-finals, especially considering it's the eve of a public holiday.
On a more sentimental level, Cregenzán regrets that, after achieving a perfect record on the opening day, "at least one of the teams from the region will be left out," something that, nevertheless, does not distract them from their main objectives.
Fraga B faces Huesca's reserve team
Wednesday's fixtures conclude with the match between Fraga B and Huesca B. For the Fraga club, these games are proving to be a great reward for the homegrown players who make up this second team. They highly value the opportunity to face a rival of Sariñena's caliber and secure a victory, as it provides a significant morale boost as they prepare for the even tougher challenge ahead: the visit of SD Huesca's reserve team, an opponent they describe as "quite difficult."
Whatever happens, and without losing an ounce of enthusiasm for the DPH Cup, those in Fraga understand that all the minutes accumulated in this new format are perfect for their teams to arrive at the regular season in the best possible shape.
