Five shows will be staged with the circus as the central theme of the 2026 edition, with music, humor and acrobatics as embellishments.
On May 22nd and 23rd, Mequinenza will host the sixth edition of A Sol y Serena, the Street Performing Arts Festival, with a program focused mainly on circus shows, as well as music, humor and acrobatics.
The festival will include five free performances spread across different venues in the municipality, two of which are new additions this year. This year's poster, designed by Pablo Vidallet, is inspired by the moon.
The program will begin on Friday, May 22 at 18:30 p.m. with “Circus Wheel Dixieland”, by Traüt Espectacles, a traveling show that will depart from the Club Capri venue and travel along the River Walk.
At 20:00 p.m., the courtyard of the CEIP María Quintana will host “Shake Shake Shake”, by the Paki Payá company.
On Saturday, May 23, the program will continue at 17:45 p.m. on the Red Track with “Mary Jones” by María Cavagnero.
At 19:00 p.m., the courtyard of the IES Joaquín Torres will be the stage for “Finito Infinito”, by the Argentine company Trotamundos.
The festival will end at 20:15 p.m. in Plaza Joaquín Torres with “Morpha”, a show by Andrea Ríos that combines contemporary circus, dance and live music.
