The work «San Mateo Vibra» will announce the celebrations that will take place from September 17 to 21, 2026 in the capital of the Cinca Medio
Designer Noemí Ruiz López , a resident of Torrente de Cinca , has won the competition for the official poster of the San Mateo de Monzón 2026 festivities with the work "San Mateo Vibra" , which will announce the celebrations that will take place from September 17 to 21.
The mayor of Monzón, Isaac Claver, and the councilor for Festivals, Jairo Sánchez, have received the author at the City Hall to present the poster, which includes some of the most representative elements of the city and its festivals.
Noemí Ruiz explained that, although she does not work professionally in design, she enjoys creating festive posters and that she has previously done work for towns such as Torrente de Cinca, Fraga, Torredonjimeno, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Zaldibar, Híjar and Calatayud , to which Monzón is now added.
The author also acknowledged that she has not yet experienced the San Mateo festivities, and hopes to do so this year if her farm work allows. She stated that she undertook a thorough research process before creating the poster.
"The creative process began by watching videos and programs of the festivities to select characteristic and potential elements to include in the poster, such as balloons, the saint, or monuments."
From there, she transformed the letters of the word Monzón into icons representing the city and used real images of its monuments and festivals. According to Noemí, she wanted to incorporate a strong presence of color to convey the energy, the festive atmosphere, and the prominence of the peñas (local social clubs).

Readers of Diario Bajo Cinca are already familiar with the work of Noemí Ruiz. The designer was also the winner of the competition to design the poster for the 2025 Pilar Festival in Fraga , a work that paid homage to some of the most emblematic moments of the Fraga festivities and was chosen to officially represent the celebrations.
With this new recognition, the resident of Torrente de Cinca once again places the name of Bajo/Baix Cinca among the protagonists of one of the most outstanding festive poster competitions in the province.
