Four restaurants from Fraga and one from Torrente de Cinca are participating in this edition
The presentation took place at the headquarters of La Intersectorial, the association that organizes the event through its hospitality division. Representatives from the five establishments in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region participating in this year's Gastronomic Week were present. In Fraga, visitors can sample the menus of EspaiOró, Restaurante Martín, Casa Cabrera Nova, and Muy Abadía. Also participating is Siskets restaurant from Torrente de Cinca, the only establishment not located in the regional capital.
As explained during the presentation, the set menus cost €35, drinks not included, and consist of a starter, first course, main course, and dessert. All the restaurants highlight the key attributes of their cuisine; local products, traditional gastronomy, and innovation are some of the strengths of their offerings.
Gregorio Abadía, a representative of the sector, explained, “…we don’t just sell food, we sell pleasure and experiences…” . The restaurant group from Fraga and the surrounding area stated, “ Come, eat, and tell others about it ”—that’s the best promotion for our gastronomy. They also recommended booking in advance so that residents of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region and visitors don’t miss out on trying any of the menus.
Also present at the presentation were Javier Catalán, Councilor for Economic Development of the Fraga City Council, and Javier Carrasquer, Tourism Councilor for the Bajo/Baix Cinca region. Catalán emphasized the importance of the hospitality sector as a key element in promoting and revitalizing tourism in the area and highlighted some initiatives launched in the city in recent months, such as the Ice Well, the Pumptrack Circuit, and the municipal climbing wall. For his part, the regional councilor spoke about the importance of restaurants in tourism as a driving force and attraction for visitors, and encouraged the other municipalities of Bajo/Baix Cinca to join this initiative to grow together and create a more united region.
