Several municipalities in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region carry out this tradition at the stroke of midnight.
Besides processions and the Stations of the Cross , another typical Holy Week tradition is the "Breaking of the Hour." This act also takes place in some towns in our region, always around midnight. Ballobar, Candasnos, and Mequinenza will hold the breaking of the hour at different times.
Candasnos: 23:15 PM
Ballobar: 23:55 h
Mequinenza: 00 h
On the other hand, Torrente de Cinca will perform the breaking on Friday the 29th, at 12 noon.
In addition to this activity, other events will take place throughout the Bajo/Baix Cinca region during Holy Week. Fraga, Ontiñena, and Belver de Cinca have also announced their programs.
