This morning, more than 100 farmers and ranchers gathered, according to some of those present, and began a march towards the crossroads with Tamarite de Litera to join the group coming from Monzón.
Throughout the week, the agricultural sector has carried out repeated actions in various areas of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region, such as blocking the A2 highway near Fraga and holding demonstrations in Ballobar and Ontiñena. Today, a march began, again with tractors and other vehicles, starting in the municipality of Zaidín. The initial objective was to reach the junction with Tamarite de Litera and join the group arriving from the Monzón area, to reiterate the messages and demands that are crippling the sector.
Farmers and ranchers in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region are coordinating to unify criteria with neighboring regions in a common front, continue mobilizing and continue putting pressure on the administrations " until they get down to work, so that it doesn't just remain in promises and tangible things are seen ."
As some of the farmers at the protest stated, " This isn't over. Promises aren't enough. We want to see real action and measures, and we want them now ." For now, the sector's mobilizations are expected to continue, with no end date set.
