The impact of Artificial Intelligence is not only visible in large business projects, it is also beginning to be present in small towns and rural areas
In an increasingly connected and digital world, marketing and communication have become fundamental pillars for the success of any business, regardless of its geographic location. In small towns and rural communities, where resources may be limited, professional connections and networking seem more distant. The challenge of standing out and reaching the right consumers can be even greater, and optimizing any production process can also be more expensive compared to more populated areas. In this context, artificial intelligence (AI) can be an important ally in boosting both the growth and visibility of local businesses.
Based on my experience and training (Master's in AI from Founderz+Microsoft), there are several important points on this topic. The first and most fundamental is to not be afraid of novelty or change. The second, equally important, is to be well-trained and have solid, practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence or any other field you wish to explore.
Personally, having a solid understanding of the sector has allowed me to better evaluate and understand the strategic approach to follow in different projects. For example, providing value through close, organic, and non-programmatic communication, like the work we do at www.diariobajocinca.com , is fundamental to achieving the desired objectives and effective reach. It's a local, truthful, and direct media outlet that navigates a digital ecosystem but with a human touch. Currently, AI cannot offer this level of value. However, for other types of projects, we do utilize the support of various generative intelligence technologies, achieving better results and a different kind of reach or immediacy. But always within a predefined strategy.
Ultimately, it's about knowing which tool to use at any given time and in any given project, and for that, it is essential and fundamental to have training and knowledge on the subject.
Undoubtedly, many companies in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region are already implementing AI in their production processes. There are large companies in our area related to the meat, fruit, industrial, and food sectors. These national and international firms are optimizing processes to offer better products and services. The key is not to fear technological advancements, to understand them firsthand, and, with the relevant information, to decide whether they can be applied to our business and commercial strategies.
On March 18th and 19th, UNED Fraga has organized an interesting course on Artificial Intelligence for Business. This could be an excellent opportunity to learn about this discipline and assess whether it can be implemented in your strategies.
