The Nature Protection Service Patrol of the Civil Guard (PAPRONA) in Fraga located a poacher with various bladed weapons and large caliber firearms
The perpetrator was reported and the weapons were seized.
Agents from the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard of Fraga were aware that poaching practices might be taking place at night near the left bank of the Cinca River , so they set up operations aimed at locating the possible poachers.
On January 20th, at about 20:30 pm, the Civil Guard officers were carrying out a surveillance service when they observed a vehicle parked hidden among fruit trees, so the agents decided to carry out a search on foot and found the hunter about 150 meters away, in a baiting area armed with a shotgun, and the agents proceeded to identify him.
Later, inside the vehicle, two more firearms were found, one of them already loaded and ready for use, and a finishing knife.
Therefore, the Agents of the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard of Fraga proceeded to seize the weapons located, a 12 gauge shotgun, a .22 caliber carbine, a 7 mm REM caliber rifle, a 21 cm double-edged pointed finishing knife and a flashlight.
The operation resulted in a total of 7 infractions that allegedly violate the provisions of Law 1/2015 on Hunting in Aragon and the Regulations on Weapons and Explosives, which will be sent to the Department of Environment of the Government of Aragon in Huesca and to the Sub-delegation of the Government in Huesca, as they constitute infractions of the current Hunting Law and the Weapons Regulations.
All the seized items have been handed over to the Fraga Weapons and Explosives Intervention Unit, at the disposal of the Government Authority.
