Agents from the Traffic Detachment of the Civil Guard of Fraga, proceeded to report a truck driver, involved in a road accident, after he tested positive for drug use
The Civil Guard of the Fraga Traffic Detachment reported on June 27 the professional driver of an articulated vehicle, after colliding with the semi-trailer of another truck on the AP-2 motorway, in the municipality of Candasnos (Huesca).
After receiving the alert through the Traffic Operations Center of the Civil Guard of Huesca, the agents went to the scene of the accident, carrying out the corresponding tests.
After an initial positive result in the drug test, laboratory analyses of the second sample obtained from the driver confirmed the positive result for narcotic substances.
The driver, a 28-year-old man, has been recommended for an administrative fine of one thousand euros and the loss of six points from his driver's license. This incident highlights the importance of monitoring such behavior, further emphasizing the need for preventative checks to detect drug use and its impact on driving.
