Last weekend, Candela Puch from Fraga participated in the Spanish Duathlon Supersprint Championship in the youth category in the Madrid town of Alcobendas, where she achieved a commendable sixteenth position.
On Saturday, March 23rd, she secured her place in the final in the second of four semifinals. The heat proved challenging in this heat, but Candela finished tenth, qualifying for the final based on her time. Later that afternoon, the athlete from Bajo/Baix Cinca performed much better, steadily improving her performance and achieving a remarkable comeback in the final running leg.
On Sunday, he also participated in the mixed relay with his team, Stadium Casablanca of Zaragoza, finishing in twelfth position, a great result.
Each of the duathlons consisted of a 2.5 km run, a 6 km road bike ride, and a 1.2 km run.
