The initiative by the Government of Aragon and the Fraga City Council will allow customers to generate credit on Wednesdays and Fridays at participating businesses until the available funds are exhausted.
The 'Back to School' campaign of the Volveremos program begins this Wednesday, August 26 , also in Fraga , with the aim of encouraging shopping in local businesses in the weeks leading up to the start of the school year.
The initiative, promoted by the Government of Aragon in collaboration with participating municipalities , including Fraga, allows consumers to earn 20% back on purchases made at participating establishments. This percentage is financed equally: 10% by the Government of Aragon and 10% by the municipality.
The campaign is being launched in 71 Aragonese municipalities and, in this specific back-to-school edition, the balance can be generated every Wednesday and Friday until the budget allocated to each locality is exhausted.
How does it work in Fraga?
It works simply. Purchases made on Wednesdays and Fridays, which are designated for generating credit, allow you to accumulate an amount equivalent to 20% of the purchase in the Volveremos app, always within the conditions and limits established by the program.
This accumulated balance can be used later any day of the week at participating establishments in Fraga.
Therefore, the campaign may be especially interesting during these weeks to address some of the purchases associated with returning to the classroom, such as clothing, footwear, school supplies, equipment and other products available in participating stores.
The user must have the Volveremos application , from which the generated balance and its use are managed.
A campaign designed for September shopping
The 'Back to School' edition comes at a time when many families concentrate a significant part of their shopping before the start of the school year.
The aim of the program is for part of that spending to stay in local businesses and help to boost commerce in the participating towns.
In Fraga, the campaign once again benefits from the joint participation of the Government of Aragon and the City Council , which co-finance the discount for consumers. The Fraga Association of Business Owners in Commerce and Services has also highlighted in previous campaigns the opportunity the program represents for both consumers and local businesses.
Two million euros from the Government of Aragon
For this 'Back to School' campaign, the Government of Aragon has allocated 2 million euros , in addition to a similar amount contributed by all the participating municipalities.
According to data provided by the regional government, over 207.000 transactions were carried out during the first Volveremos campaign of this year , generating purchases worth more than €21 million . In total, 66.600 consumers used the platform at approximately 3.000 businesses across Aragon.
The program has so far generated a balance of 2,547 billion euros , of which approximately 1,224 billion had already been used.
New feature to share balance
One of the new features added this year to Volveremos is the so-called 'Volveremos Bizum' , a function that allows you to transfer balance between accounts within the application itself.
This way, the accumulated balance can be shared among family or friends without the need for cash transfers. The accumulated balance can also be spent until the end of the year , according to the program's terms and conditions.
