They made the announcement on the afternoon of Monday, September 2nd, through the entity's social media channels.
According to the association's social media profiles, this year 2024 they are suspending the 'Fragaffiti' urban art competition, which was usually held in September.
On Instagram and Facebook, they wrote: “ Much to our regret, after 7 years of the festival TO RECOVER CORNERS and FACADES in very poor condition in the Historic Quarter of Fraga, we are SUSPENDING FRAGAffiti '24 for the following reasons… ”. The post lists the reasons for this cancellation. Among other issues, the Historic Quarter Association mentions the Master Plan, overcrowded houses, the Casa Dueso site, and the neglect they feel, according to the organization, in the Historic Quarter.
