Mayor Ignacio Gramún highlights the new modules that have been taught in Fraga for a year now and the work at San José de Calasanz
The Aragonese Parliament Pavilion hosted the second edition of the "Futurízate" Vocational Training and Employability Conference this morning, with the participation of students and businesses from the Bajo Cinca region. More than one hundred students attended the event, which aims to connect young talent in the region with the business community , promoting job placement and showcasing the latest developments in Vocational Training.
The event, held on May 19th, began at 9:00 a.m. with the official reception and welcome of the attendees. During the reception, the mayor of Fraga, Ignacio Gramún, praised “the excellent work of the working group comprised of business leaders, educational institutions, the INAEM (Aragon Employment Institute), the Government of Aragon, and the City Council itself.” Thanks to this group, he continued, “two new Vocational Training modules were implemented a year ago, and the long-awaited construction of the San José de Calasanz school will be completed in a few months . ”
Regarding the project, the mayor explained that the building's rehabilitation will be completed this June; " only the final stage remains: equipping this new center with all the necessary equipment so that Vocational Training has a top-level space to train the people who will build the Fraga of the future."
Following the mayor's welcome address, a session was held showcasing the success stories of vocational training students, including a panel discussion where six alumni shared their experiences in the job market . Finally, the Chamber of Commerce presented a talk entitled " Resources and Opportunities for Young People ."
After a short break for breakfast, the activity moved to the exhibition area, where students visited company stands and information tables set up by institutes and INAEM (Aragon Institute of Employment), creating a networking opportunity that benefited all stakeholders in the local business and education sectors. The morning session concluded with a presentation on the new Vocational Training Law , an event dedicated to updating students and teachers on the new regulatory framework for this type of education, thus closing the first part of the event.
An afternoon of open doors and a grand finale with Mago More
The second edition of Futurízate will resume in the afternoon, starting at 16:00 p.m., with an open day at the companies Becton Dickinson, Residencia Sagrado Corazón and Talleres Gaustin , reinforcing the role of vocational training as a strategic economic engine for the Bajo Cinca region.
The closing of this second edition will take place at 19:00 p.m. in the restored Florida Room with the presentation The Positive Power of Change , by the renowned speaker and communicator Mago More.
This event has been made possible thanks to the joint collaboration of the Fraga City Council and various educational and business entities in the area, such as the Intersectoral Business Association of Bajo Cinca (AEI), the IES Ramón J. Sender, the IES Bajo Cinca and the Santa Agatoclia Vocational Training Center.
