The Fraga town council held an official reception this Wednesday for the WSE Champions League winners. Starting Saturday, they will compete for the league title in an intense playoff.
The Esneca Fraga Skating Club will be the official herald of the upcoming Pilar Festival . The announcement was made by the Mayor of Fraga, Ignacio Gramún, during the official reception held this afternoon in the council chamber for the current WSE Champions League champions . With this distinction, the Fraga City Council recognizes the historic achievement of the Fraga club, which has won the top European competition for the second time in three years.
During the event, Gramún conveyed the municipality's pride in the roller hockey team's achievements. "Winning two European Cups in just five years since the club's founding is a historic milestone ," the mayor stated, adding that "Fraga is very proud of your successes, and you are role models for the children of Fraga."
The name of Esneca Fraga is already listed in the City's Book of Honor.
The president of CP Esneca, Albert Pinyol, signed the City's Book of Honor and expressed his gratitude for the support received from Fraga. Pinyol stated that it is "an honor to represent the city at the highest level in Europe" and wanted to share the title with the entire municipality. "We want to convey our gratitude to the City of Fraga; we want them to have a role model, and we want us to strive for more victories and bring them back to the city, which truly deserves them," he said.
