The detainees, the alleged perpetrators of the events, broke into a home by force, assaulting one of the residents, due to an alleged financial debt.
Agents from the Fraga Civil Guard station arrested three of the people allegedly involved in acts constituting the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, extortion, coercion, threats and injuries.
Last Sunday afternoon, May 05th, agents from the Fraga Civil Guard station were informed by the local Health Center that a person had to be referred to the Arnau i Vilanova Hospital in Lleida due to the severity of the injuries he had throughout his body.
The events occurred in the early hours of the same day, when the detainees forcibly entered a home in the town of Fraga, assaulting one of the residents, due to an alleged financial debt.
After assaulting the victim, causing multiple injuries, they forced her to move to the home of one of the detainees, where they made phone calls to extort money from a relative of the victim in exchange for ceasing their attack.
Finally, the detainees snatched €700 that the victim was carrying, threatening him with reprisals if he contacted the police.
On May 09th, Civil Guard officers in Fraga, after conducting an investigation, arrested two people, and on the 10th, another. The detainees are two men, aged 42 and 21, and a 37-year-old woman who led the group; all residents of the Bajo Cinca region and with extensive criminal records.
The Civil Guard station in Fraga prepared the proceedings which, together with the detainees, were handed over to the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 1 of Fraga (Huesca), ordering their imprisonment.
