The 'X Aragonese Fair of Simulated Companies' will take place in the Cortes de Aragón Pavilion on January 31st and will be attended by several agents from the Fraga business community.
Around 600 students will participate next Wednesday, January 31st, in the 10th Aragonese Simulated Business Fair, to be held at the Cortes de Aragón Pavilion in Fraga. This event, organized by the General Directorate of Planning, Centers and Vocational Training in coordination with the Aragonese Center for Innovation in Vocational Training and in collaboration with the Fraga City Council, aims to foster business relationships among simulated businesses in Aragon and boost participation in trade fairs as a tool for stimulating the local business sector.
The mayor of Fraga, Ignacio Gramún, emphasized that “more than 600 people will get to know our city, both from a tourist and business perspective, thanks to the activities prepared for the occasion.” “I want to highlight the participation and work of all the other stakeholders involved in this fair, from teachers and students to the schools themselves, not forgetting, of course, the companies and businesspeople who will show our young people a practical and realistic view of the working world,” Gramún said at the press conference this Thursday, where the fair was presented. Also participating in the conference were the Councilor for Education, David Casanova, and the advisor to the Center for Innovation in Vocational Training of Aragon (CIFPA), Juan Francisco Andreu.
A simulated company is a learning methodology implemented in the 'Company in the Classroom' module, part of the Administration and Management vocational training program. By managing a virtual company, students can perform the duties of an administrative technician, organizing themselves into departments that work simultaneously.
At this event, in addition to the simulated companies managed by the students, the Fraga-based companies Intucinca and Rigual will also participate. Throughout the morning, guided tours will be offered of the Historic Quarter, the Ice Well, and the Becton Dickinson and Frutas David companies. There will also be raffles and awards presented for the best advertising spot and the simulated company of the year.
Regarding education, Gramún highlighted “the upcoming renovation of the former San José de Calasanz school, with which we intend to revitalize a building located in the heart of Fraga and, at the same time, provide our city with new facilities for the benefit of young people in Fraga and the community in general.” “With this project, which will be one of the most important in recent years, we will expand the educational offerings, a challenge we consider especially relevant for all the residents of Fraga and the other towns in the Bajo Cinca region,” explained the mayor, who concluded by wishing that “all the students attending this fair enjoy a wonderful day and, above all, enjoy our city.”
For his part, Casanova stated that “it’s a happy day to be able to bring this fair here, which we’ve been discussing and working on for several months.” Regarding the program, he said that “we’re going to take advantage of these students’ visit to give them guided tours, to introduce them to our culture, our Ice Well, our surroundings, and our origins. We’ll also be giving them guided tours of two of the most prominent companies in our city: the new facilities of Frutas David and the large Becton Dickinson. Both companies have kindly agreed to show how they work and open their facilities to these students who are just on the cusp of entering the professional world.”
Andreu, who outlined the program for January 31st, explained that "the educational objective of this fair is to bring the different centers together in person." "They've already been conducting their business online or by phone, but they don't know each other. What does this achieve? It improves the communication skills of all the students."
