The capital of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region consolidates its position as the municipality with more than 10.000 inhabitants with the lowest unemployment rate in Aragon.
The Fraga City Council has welcomed the employment figures for March, published yesterday by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE). The figures place Fraga among the region's leading economic drivers , boasting the highest employability rate among Aragonese municipalities with more than 10.000 inhabitants.
While unemployment across Aragon as a whole has fallen by 3,82%—dropping below the 50.000 mark—in the last month, Fraga has seen a significantly better performance. Unemployment in Fraga fell by 6,1% , from 377 unemployed in February to 354 in March.
This decrease puts the city's unemployment rate at 4,58%, the lowest figure among municipalities with more than 10.000 inhabitants in Aragon . These figures confirm Fraga's status as a city with full employment, reflecting the dynamism of the area's business sector.
Mayor Ignacio Gramún celebrated that “these figures demonstrate once again that Fraga is a city of hardworking people and a driving force in the economy of the province and the economy of Aragon .” He also expressed his gratitude for “the work of our residents, as the dynamism and prosperity of our city is the result of the efforts of all the people of Fraga.”
