Fraga B could end up taking CD Sariñena's place in the Primera Regional.

According to Tiempo de Juego Regional Aragonés, CD Sariñena will not compete in the category and its vacancy would be filled by the Fraga reserve team, although the Aragonese Federation will not officially resolve these matters until August 21.

A new twist in the Fraga youth football case . Just when the relegation of the Fraga reserve team to the Second Regional Division seemed inevitable, new information published by the specialized account Tiempo de Juego Regional Aragonés opens up a completely different scenario: Fraga B could finally compete next season in the First Regional Division, taking the place of CD Sariñena.

According to this information, CD Sariñena will not compete in the Primera Regional league in the 2026/2027 season , leaving a vacancy in the category. That place, according to Tiempo de Juego Regional Aragonés, would be filled by UD Fraga's reserve team.

It should be emphasized, however, that the decision is not yet official . The Aragonese Football Federation will not issue a resolution until August 21st, as the deadline for registering federation licenses is the 20th. Therefore, the possible return of the Bajo Cinca team to the First Regional Division remains pending confirmation from the federation.

A case with several twists and turns during the summer

The situation of Fraga B has gone through several phases in recent weeks . Initially, the team secured their place in the league on the pitch after winning their final match and avoiding the regular relegation zone. Subsequently, the Federation announced their relegation to the Second Regional Division due to relegation issues stemming from higher divisions.

The club filed an appeal with the Appeals Committee requesting that the decision be overturned and proposing as an alternative competing in Group 4 of the Regional First Division . This appeal was dismissed, seemingly confirming the relegation of the Fraga reserve team.

The potential withdrawal of CD Sariñena now changes the situation . If it is ultimately confirmed that the club from the Monegros region will not compete in the Primera Regional and the Federation assigns its place to Fútbol Base Fraga, the reserve team from Bajo Cinca would avoid relegation and continue for another season in the category.

In the absence of an official resolution, the case remains open until August 21.
