Dozens of participants tried this sport, which is now an Olympic discipline.
Despite the rain, which limited activity on Saturday and forced the cancellation of some scheduled sessions, the open weekend and the Fraga Climbing Festival were a success. Children, teenagers, and adults tried climbing, thanks to the local club and two instructors hired for the occasion. Óscar Moré, from the Bajo/Baix Cinca Mountain Club , told us about some of the details of this discipline and the activities they carry out, such as this open weekend organized in conjunction with the Fraga City Council.
Moré also indicated that, in the near future, they hope to start holding competitions with nearby clubs to further raise the profile of this discipline, which is already an Olympic sport.
