The provisional proposal from the Government of Aragon increases the subsidy to the Fraga Skating Club by more than 97.500 euros compared to the previous season.
Great news for the girls of Club Patín Fraga: if the provisional proposal for the distribution of aid from the Government of Aragon is approved, the Fraga team will receive €254.173,80 corresponding to the call for aid to top-level sports clubs for the 2025/2026 season. The amount is included in the provisional resolution published by the General Directorate of Sport and makes Esneca Fraga the club in the province of Huesca with the largest allocation within this subsidy program.
This figure also places Esneca Fraga as the second club in Aragon receiving the most funding among those included in this group . Only Basket Zaragoza 2002, the parent club of Casademont Zaragoza's women's team, receives more, with €296.037,72. Following the Fraga team is Club Balonmano Huesca, which is provisionally entitled to €233.241,84 after its relegation.
The call for proposals establishes a budget of two million euros for this group of clubs. After the various allocations based on scores and established limits, the proposal calls for a total of 1.995.449,03 euros. In the case of Club Patín Fraga, the club's score reached 85 points, resulting in an allocation of 254.173,80 euros.
Almost 100.000 euros more than last season
The increase for Esneca Fraga is especially significant when compared to the previous funding round. For the preceding season, the Government of Aragon granted the Fraga club €156.656,52 . The new proposal raises that amount by €97.517,28 , representing an increase of approximately 62,2% in just one year.
The club's share of the regional funding is also increasing . In the previous allocation, Esneca received less than Basket Zaragoza Women, Balonmano Huesca, and Voleibol Teruel. For the 2025/2026 season, the amount provisionally allocated to the Fraga team is second only to that of Basket Zaragoza 2002.
The increase comes after another highly demanding season for the Fraga team, in which they once again competed for every title available to them , both in Spain and abroad. The regional government's call for applications is specifically aimed at helping to cover some of the expenses incurred by Aragonese clubs participating in official national and international competitions during the 2025/2026 season.
A still provisional cast
The amount of €254.173,80 is not yet final. The document published by the General Directorate of Sport is a provisional resolution proposal , while the final proposal and the subsequent award order remain pending publication.
Public limited sports companies, incidentally, are not part of this specific allocation, so entities like SD Huesca follow a different path. Therefore, Esneca Fraga's status as the Huesca-based entity with the largest allocation refers specifically to the sports clubs included in this call for proposals.
