It is expected that from 15:24 PM on Wednesday, July 31st to midnight on Thursday, August 1st, 2024, two hundred and twenty thousand vehicle journeys will take place in Aragon
During the afternoon of Wednesday, July 31st, and until Thursday, August 1st, there will be significant traffic on all roads across the country due to the start of the August holiday month, the busiest month for vehicle traffic in the Summer of 2024. During this period, traffic will coincide with the following:
- The beginning of the August holiday month, with long-distance journeys out of the major urban centers and main destinations in the coastal and shoreline tourist areas, as well as mountain areas in the interior of the peninsula.
- The RETURN of those who finish their holidays in July.
Therefore, the Directorate General of Traffic is launching a series of traffic regulation, management, and surveillance measures called Special Operation “August 1st – 2024,” to cover the large number of journeys that will take place during these days. This will be achieved by utilizing the maximum availability of its human resources (Agents of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard, staff from the Traffic Management Centers, helicopter patrols, and personnel in charge of equipment maintenance and the installation of road measures), with a view to facilitating mobility and fluidity on the roads where significant vehicle movements are expected and ensuring road safety.

The expected traffic volume for this "August 1st 2024" operation on the roads of the Autonomous Community of Aragon is two hundred and twenty thousand vehicle journeys.

Wednesday, July 31, from 16:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, from 21:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m.
