Your challenge Your Province Huesca The Magic of the bike will land in Bajo Cinca region next Saturday, March 7th
Discover Huesca like never before: by bike, pushing your limits, and connecting with the essence of a region that captivates you at every kilometer. A sporting challenge designed for cyclists who want to progress intelligently, enjoying the journey, and arrive in peak form for the major events on the calendar: La Magia del Grial and the Quebrantahuesos.
Designed to accompany you step by step, Your Challenge Your Province Huesca The Magic of the Bike proposes eight cycling tours distributed throughout the province of Huesca that will take you through magical landscapes — solitary roads, mythical mountain passes, impressive valleys and charming villages — while you progressively increase distance, elevation gain and difficulty.
Next Saturday, March 7th, the Magic of Cycling arrives in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region with a 125 km route and 650 meters of elevation gain, passing through towns such as Fraga, Ballobar, and Ontiñena. You can register at this link: https://clubciclistaoscense.es/tu-reto-huesca-la-magia/
The project, promoted by the "Tu Provincia Huesca la Magia" brand and organized by the Huesca Cycling Club , offers a series of eight official cycling routes , scheduled between February and June and open to all enthusiasts. The project features progressive, safe routes adapted to amateur cyclists, combining athletic challenge with the exploration of the region.
As highlighted by Sergio Serra, the Provincial Council's Tourism Deputy, "this project transforms the entire province of Huesca into a major cycling tourism destination, uniting sport and tourism, and reinforcing our image as a natural, active, and sustainable destination. It's an initiative that originates from the local level, with the support of cycling clubs, and that boosts both the economy and a sense of belonging to this region."
The routes, with a total distance of 1.000 kilometers and almost 14.000 meters of positive elevation gain , will cover the regions of Alto Aragón.
The stages will be:
- Cinca Medio (95 km)
- Monegros (100 km)
- Lower Cinca (125 km)
- Somontano (105 km)
- La Litera (117 km)
- Sobrarbe (108 km)
- Jacetania (150 km)
- Ribagorza (135 km)
Each of these outings will include insurance, a support vehicle, refreshments, and a simple registration system , with prices ranging from €8 per stage to €50 for the complete package.
The technical organization is in charge of the Oscense Cycling Club , with the collaboration of cycling clubs throughout the province.
