After the DPH Cup quarter-final pairings were announced, it was clear that at least one team from the Bajo/Baix Cinca region would have to say goodbye to a competition that has proven to be a resounding success . And, in the end, two teams were eliminated; specifically, both of UD Fraga's remaining teams have been knocked out. Ontiñena, who continue their impressive preseason form and whose home advantage at El Balsal remains one of their greatest strengths, are now just one step away from the final.
Penalties decide the outcome once again, this time in Ontiñena
Without a doubt, one of the most exciting quarter-final matches was played in Ontiñena. Ontiñena CF faced UD Fraga , a third-division team with some of the most prominent names in their league. And, despite Fraga dominating much of the game, regulation time ended in a 1-1 draw. The match went to penalties, and there luck favored the home side.
The truth is that UD Fraga were far superior during the first half , creating numerous chances and putting Arnan under pressure on more than one occasion. However, Ontiñena withstood the onslaught and even appealed for a penalty that wasn't awarded, a decision that left the score at 0-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Fraga continued to press and finally took the lead with a powerful free kick from the center circle by Ramón San Juan. But just when it seemed a victory for the visitors was imminent, another spectacular goal was scored at El Balsal: Damian Llobet headed home a free kick from the wing to make it 1-1 and send the match to penalties.
In the penalty area, Fraga missed his first shot and Ontiñena did not forgive : they converted all five of their attempts and unleashed madness among a fan base devoted to their team.
UD Fraga B can't beat Huesca's reserve team
The afternoon of the Diputación Cup quarterfinals was a bitter one for UD Fraga , who will now focus their efforts on arriving in top form for the regular season. The news wasn't good in Ontiñena, but things didn't improve at home either: Huesca B won their match comfortably 3-0, meaning they will be Fraga's opponent for a place in the final.
Following the expected script, the team managed by Iñigo Ros dominated from the start, eager to reach the final on home soil. The match quickly turned in their favor thanks to a penalty converted by Escario , one of the players training with the first team during preseason.
Despite some attempts by Fraga B , including good chances for Emil Yavorov and Iker Sorolla, it was impossible to equalize before halftime. After the break, Huesca B continued their dominant performance, securing the victory thanks to goals from Raúl Ojeda and Juan Soria.

With the quarter-final results now complete, the path to the final is clear, with only one contender remaining from the Bajo/Baix Cinca region: Ontiñena CF , who will face SD Huesca B for a place in the grand final scheduled for August 30th.
